In 2017, we return for our 17th year at the Devonshire Park Theatre, Eastbourne with Dick Whittington and his Cat. The panto opens on Friday 8 December 2017 and runs until Sunday 14 January 2018.
Dick Whittington tells the rags-to-riches tale of a young man and his loyal cat on their exciting quest to find fame and fortune.
Starring EastEnders and Dancing on Ice’s Todd Carty as the evil King Rat who’s plotting to take-over London town with his furry friends. Todd will be joined by the welcome return of comedy duo Martyn Knight as Sarah the Cook and Tucker as Idle Jack.
Our hero, Dick Whittington, is played by the thigh-slapping Katherine Glover alongside Francesca Leyland as Alice Fitzwarren.
Will our hero defeat the evil King Rat and his gang of vile vermin? Will Alice Fitzwarren lose her heart to this handsome hunk from Gloucester? Will Sarah the Cook suffer yet another soggy bottom? Will the streets of London really be paved with gold? Find out in this classic pantomime full of show-stopping songs, dazzling dance routines, knockabout comedy and bags of audience participation.
Following last year’s box office smash, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Dick Whittington and his Cat promises to be an even bigger and better adventure that truly is the cat’s whiskers!
