The Lighthouse Theatre, Kettering are pleased to announce the return of Michael Neilson and Mark Pearce as they jump aboard a magic carpet ride to another spectacular panto adventure – Aladdin!
It’s three in a row for the pair and this year they travel to Old Peking and Twankey’s Washeteria to play mother and son – with Michael as Widow Twankey and Mark as her somewhat useless son Wishee Washee.
As well as appearing as Dame Dolly in Snow White and Dame Dotty in Beauty & the Beast at the Lighthouse Theatre, Michael has appeared in many pantomimes as dame and sometimes even stepping over to the dark side to play a baddie or two! When he’s not putting on a frock, can be seen in the West End, having performed as Dean Martin in The Rat Pack Live from Las Vegas, Policeman and Teacher in Blood Brothers, Fagin (understudy & played) in Oliver! to name but a few. You may have also caught him on-screen in TV shows such as BBC’s Doctors, ITV’s The Bill, Channel 4’s Lipstick on your Collar and BBC’s Grange Hill.
Mark is no stranger to the Lighthouse Theatre – he appeared as Herbie in Snow White and Potty Pierre in Beauty & the Beast as well as with the UK tour of Bugle Boy – The Glenn Miller Musical. He is currently touring the UK as Charlie in This is Elvis. He originated the role of Hospital Ghost in Ghost the Musical, Jake Blues in The Blues Brothers and was in the UK tour of The Wedding Singer. He has appeared in 13 pantos up and down the country.
Michael and Mark join ‘Allo ‘Allo’s Arthur Bostrom as Abanazaar and Britain’s Got Talent finalists and YouTube sensations Twist and Pulse as PCs Hip and Hop for oodles of panto mayhem and magic.
From the team behind last year’s production of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, we promise you another show jam-packed with all of the essential pantomime ingredients plus top-class live music, a fabulous cast, dazzling sets and a magic carpet ride through a spectacular adventure!
