In 2013, The Palace Theatre, Redditch presented Aladdin starring Todd Carty, Rodney Ward and David Dobson.
Audiences at The Palace Theatre had their wishes granted by our Genie as they joined us for another magical Redditch pantomime. Widow Twankey wants a husband, evil Abanazaar wants the magic lamp, Aladdin wants adventure and Wishee-Washee just wants a clean vest!
It was a show jam-packed with all of the essential pantomime ingredients plus top-class live music, a fabulous cast, dazzling sets and a magic carpet ride through a spectacular adventure!
The Redditch Standard had nothing but praise for the show:
“With stunning sets, colourful costumes and a host of special effects, in this reviewer’s humble opinion this is the best pantomime ever performed on The Palace Theatre stage – and that’s saying something considering it is 100 years old.”
“On top of all that is the beautiful flying carpet scene which brings a few gasps of wonder as it appears to fly out over the audience. There’s even some magic thrown in for good measure.”
“As the Palace Theatre celebrates its centenary year it’s fitting this year’s panto should deliver a show of this quality.”
